But if we are clear about the values that guide us in our efforts to show up and be seen, we will always be able to find the light. We will know what it means to live brave.” -Brené Brown What are values anyway? It’s a word that gets thrown around a lot, but it’s rare that we sit down and really get clear on what they mean to us. Brené Brown’s definition is simple, “A value is a way of being or believing that you hold most important.” According to her research getting clear on our values is essential to wholehearted living and really showing up in your life. Without taking time to gain clarity on our values, we might not realize there’s a gap between what we actually believe to be important and want in our lives with what we’re actually doing. Really defining your values can also help guide you as you make decisions in your life, both big and small.I’ve combined creative methods that I’ve found most helpful to gain clarity of values and begin the work of integrating them into your heart & body. Far beyond filling out worksheets, we’ll engage in meditative breathing and movement to fully engage our minds and bodies in this powerful work.
